There has been plenty going on as part of Brighton Fringe and Brighton Festival this week and in today’s Instagram posts page we feature one of them.

The Museum of the Moon came to town and lit up Queens Park.

Meanwhile the sun brought the bathers to the seafront and a host of minis flocked to the seaside.

There has also been plenty going on at Brighton and Hove Albion.

1. Brighton's Best

The Argus:

Electronic band Beak were in Brighton last week and put on a great show at Concorde 2. As well as their show they also found some of the best fish and chips in Brighton. This photo came from the @beakbristol page. Can anyone recognise which chip shop this is?

2. Magnificent moon

The Argus:

The Museum of the Moon was up for the entirety of last weekend and Brightonians went to check out the beauty that was on display. This stunning shot was taken by @sophiejnewt on Instagram

3. From Swan to Seagull

The Argus:

Staying with the Albion and the Seagulls have a new man at the helm. Graham Potter will lead Albion into the 2019/20 season. Anticipation is high among the fans and hopefully the club will be able to make it three consecutive years in the Premier League. This photo is from the official @premierleague Instagram page

4. Beach bodies

The Argus:

The sun was out this week in Brighton and that meant that locals and tourists alike put on their swimming costumes and headed to the beach. Instagrammer @valerietthy took the opportunity to pose in her bikini in front of the historic Palace Pier. There are few things in live better than catching the rays by one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions

5. Marvellous Minis

The Argus:

The annual mini run came to Brighton last weekend and the seafront was packed with vintage Minis. This photo of an arty Mini was taken by @sjdunphy

Instagram user @gabrielatoscas stopped by Artrepublic in Bond Street and couldn’t help but take a photo with the art in the store. Can you blame her?

8. Jurgen's journey

The Argus:

Brighton and Hove Albion striker @jurgenlocadia is enjoying a nice summer, what with the football season being over. Here he is taking in the sunset on the seafront. Here’s hoping the view inspires him to push on next season for the Seagulls

9. Stunning seafront

The Argus:

Another shot of the seaside. Apart from the colours in the photo itself, you wouldn’t be surprised if this was taken 100 years ago. See @tillikinn for more

10. Perfect pastries

The Argus:

There are some amazing cafes in the city and Instagram user @aliyahlamba seems to particularly like Gail’s Bakery which offers up these tasty treats
