Man arrested in connection with attempted rape of 13-year-old girl
A MAN has been arrested in connection with the attempted rape of a 13-year-old girl.
The incident is reported to have happened in an alleyway between Manor Road and Manor Lane in Selsey at about 8.20am on Wednesday.
Ewing Gilmour, unemployed, of no fixed address, was arrested later that evening and charged with the attempted rape of a child.
The 20-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court today.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the isolated incident and are urging anyone with information to report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Westhead.
