A CRASH is blocking the A27 and causing long tailbacks.
The accident happened at about 10am near the junction with Devil’s Dyke Road just north of Brighton.
An AA spokesman said: “The road is partially blocked and there is very slow traffic due to a crash on the A27 eastbound from the A293 (at the Portslade turn off) to Devils Dyke Road (at the Hove turn off).”

Drivers in the area are being warned to expect increasing delays.
The spokesman added: “There are delays of six minutes on the A27 Eastbound between A270 Upper Shoreham Road (at the Southwick / Holmbush turn off) and Devils Dyke Road (at the Hove turn off).
“The average speed is ten mph.
“Delays are increasing.”
