Road closed due to diesel spill
A BUSY road has had to close due to a diesel spill.
A big section of the A27, along the Polegate Bypass, has been closed after diesel spilled across the road this morning making conditions dangerous.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area as crews attempt to make the road safe to reopen.
The road is reported to be closed from the Willingdon Drove roundabout right through to Cophall Roundabout at Polegate.
An AA spokesman said: “Road closed due to spillage of diesel on A27 Polegate By Pass Westbound from A22 (Golden Jubilee Roundabout) to A22 Polegate Road (Cop Hall Roundabout).
“Traffic is coping well.”
