TODAY is National Fish and Chips Day, and as Brits it is our duty to show off why our fish and chips are the best in the world. With so many seaside spots to enjoy this traditional dish, Jamie Walker has gone to find some of the best in Brighton.

Bardsley’s

Baker Street, Brighton

This family-run business is nearly 100 years old.

It opened in 1926 and has been making succulent and tender fish and crispy chips for generations.

The secret has been passed down through the family and is still wildly popular among Brightonians to this day.

The Regency

The Regency has even garnered national acclaim for its dishes.

And if you don’t fancy fish and chips check out its other locally sourced seafood.

Opened in 1968, right next door to the Regency, this place has made sure there is some friendly competition for fish and chips in King’s Road.

From fish and chips to oysters and seafood, there is plenty to enjoy at this great spot.
