IT WAS raining cats and dogs at South of England Show yesterday – but it was the farm animals who stole the show.
Thousands made their way to Ardingly, north of Haywards Heath, for the second day of the event and everyone had a ball, despite the weather.
Livestock of all types competed for ribbons and trophies, including the prestigious pig of the year award.
Shetland ponies went head to head in their own mini Grand Nationals, capturing the hearts of spectators and raising money for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
At the more extreme end of the spectrum, the Bolddog Ling motorcycle stunt group wowed visitors with an array of tricks.
The show is in its final day today, when beloved children’s character the Gruffalo will make an appearance in Weald Wood.
