FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a multi-storey car park over safety concerns.
The crews from Worthing were seen scaling ladders at the Grafton car park in the town this afternoon.
It is understood that some of the plastic cladding on the building was loose after high winds.
So the team have been working to secure the plastic facia.
Worthing Fire Station posted on Twitter: “Currently attending incident at Grafton Multi Story Car park. Loose plastic Sheets owing to high wind.”
The crews remain at the scene.
It follows Sussex being battered by high winds and unseasonal gale force winds.
The Argus reported on how a yacht owner got into difficulties and had to be towed by the Eastbourne RNLI lifeboat crew to safety. You can read the report here.
Meanwhile high winds ripped through the tent at the Land Beyond music festival, which was cancelled on Saturday.
The organisers said the damage meant the tent was unsafe for customers, staff and artists.
