On this day ten years ago The Argus went to visit a group of can-can dancers who were getting ready to perform at a festival. We also caught up with some schoolchildren and their new pond and we met the woman who took a horse to her wedding
Bride Sally Edwards on the way to her wedding on her beloved horse Poppy.
The 26-year-old Welsh cob was decked out in a pink blanket to match the bouquets and bridesmaids.
Sally wanted all her family and loved ones to be included on her big day and her eight-month-old Labrador cross Molly was also on the guest list
Sally got married at Vixengrove farm in North Chailey and wanted to make sure her beautiful horse, Poppy, attended the ceremony
We also met Ooh La La’s Dancers, who were performing at Glastonbury Festival, are busy practising for their big show
The Sussex based group were raring to get going
Have you ever seen the Ooh La La Dancers in action?
There was a carers event at The Crew Club in Whitehawk – carers Leeanne Williams and Hollie Stevenson enjoy a game of boggle
And Billy Whitney-Leggat, five, releases his fish into the new pond at Brighton and Hove Montessori School
