A MAN'S story of how he met his wife has gone viral.

Twitter user Sixthformpoet shared a tale on the social media site about how he met his wife at a graveyard - after taking flower's to her uncle's grave for nearly two and a half years.

His story starts with how he took flowers to his dad's grave, while the grave next to him laid bare.

He explains: "My dad's grave frequently resembled a solid third place at the Chelsea Flower Show. But I felt bad for the guy buried next to my dad."

"He never had flowers. Died on Christmas Day aged 37."

After doing some digging online - and having taken flowers to this stranger's grave for more than two years - he found out that "his wife didn't leave him flowers because he murdered her on Christmas Day".

He then killed himself by jumping in front of a train.

But the story gets weirder.

Feeling bad for spending so long taking flowers to the grave of a murderer, the writer tracked down the 'murderer's' wife's grave and decided to take her flowers.

It was there, as he was "mumbling apologies to the grave", when a woman came up to him asked what he was doing at the grave of her "aunt and grandparents".

After explaining the awkward situation the writer then asks the woman out for a drink.

Incredibly she agrees and then two years later they get married.

Sixthformpoet then goes on to tell two more equally intriguing stories on his Twitter that link in to the first one.

Do you know the couple involved?

Can you verify if this story is true? It's remarkable if so.
