Emeli Sande

Brighton Dome, Brighton, Thursday, December 5

British singer Emeli Sande has announced a new 16-date winter tour.

As part of the run of shows, which takes place over November and December, Emeli will play Brighton Dome on December 5.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 14.

The singer, who was born in Sunderland but now lives in Aberdeen, rose to prominence in 2009 after being featured on the track Diamond Rings with rapper Chipmunk (now known as Chip).

Her debut album, 2012’s Our Version Of Events, charted at number one.

Meanwhile 2016’s follow-up record, Long Live The Angels debuted at number two in the charts.

The winter tour will be in support of Emeli’s third studio album, Real Life, which is set for release in December.

Considered one of the finest British singers around at the moment, 32-year-old Emeli has risen through the ranks to become a star.

Her tour later this year will begin in Liverpool on November 16 and culminate on December 13 in Hull.

As well as a Brighton date, Emeli will headline Hammersmith Apollo in London.
