A SERIAL shoplifter who raided supermarkets and abused staff has been jailed.
Gregory Horrabin admitted going to stores across Brighton and Hove where he stole goods and attacked staff.
The 50-year-old also admitted failing to attend supervision meetings after leaving prison.
He was convicted for assaulting store manager Zak Locker at the Co-op in North Street in December.
In March Horrabin stole champagne worth £20 from the Co-op in Church Road, Hove.Then in April he threatened violence to Jonathan Manners at Tesco in Jubilee Street, Brighton.
Last month he stole meat from Sainsbury’s in Western Road, Prosecco from the Co-op in North Street, and Tattinger champagne from Waitrose.
Magistrates noted Horrabin, of no fixed address, showed a “flagrant disregard for people and their property” and jailed him for 12 weeks.
