WORKMEN have cleared needles and blood from public loos in popular parks.
The council team were called after reports of vandalism and damage at St Ann’s Well Gardens and The Level in recent days.
It was reported that doors of the toilets were kicked in and smashed.
The authority said: “We’re out fixing doors and locks at St Ann’s Well and The Level toilets after they were kicked in and smashed for the second night running.
“We’ve also cleared up needles and blood. Each door and lock costs around £150 plus labour to replace.
“Sadly, an all too often occurrence.”
