A POPULAR gin festival is returning to the county, in a new location.

The Sussex Gin Festival will take place at Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath, on Saturday, July 13.

Tickets are on sale now.

It is the festival’s second year in business, having successfully debuted in Brighton last year.

The event will feature bars from local distilleries, including Brighton Gin, Tom Cat, Jarrold’s Gin, Harley House and Blue Thorn, as well as locally based official mixer partner Folkington’s, showcasing everything there is to know about Sussex gin, from production and tasting methods to fabulous cocktails and refreshing coolers.

For beer lovers, Harvey’s Brewery will be on site serving local beers and there will be Sussex fizz for those who love bubbles, there will even be a gin and tonic sorbet to cool you down.

David Hill, managing director at E3, the producers of the Sussex Gin Festival said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Sussex Gin Fest to the stunning gardens at Borde Hill, it is the perfect location, allowing us to quadruple the size of the event and feature even more of Sussex’s fabulous produce.

“Sussex has become a hotbed for producing bespoke, small batch, artisan gins. Sussex Gin Fest will be celebrating the rich gin culture that has erupted since the “ginaissance” [gin renaissance] began in 2014.”
