A COMMUNITY football club has announced a new partnership to support good causes.

Whitehawk Football Club in Brighton has launched Hawks in the Community, working with the estate’s award-winning youth centre Crew Club.

Pleece and Co, VYD CIC, the University of Brighton, and Your League TV are also part of the scheme to provide training sessions for youngsters and fitness programmes for adults.

The club’s commercial boss Kevin Miller said the scheme will leave a “long lasting and positive legacy” for the Whitehawk estate and praised Crew Club co-founder Darren Snow.

He said: “This partnership is designed to get people fit, have some fun, and give them a renewed sense of purpose. This is just what this community needs, people who are passionate about improving the lives of young people and their families.”
