A SERIAL shoplifter has been sent to prison after admitting new offences.
Arron Haines admitted stealing from shops in Brighton city centre, and at Asda at the marina.
His crime spree included possessing a magnetic de-
tagging device, resisting a police officer and failing to show up to court.
In total the 37-year-old admitted 11 offences.
It included three thefts at Hugo Boss in East Street, where he took jumpers and clothing worth £1,880.
At Asda he stole children’s toys, at Deichmann in Western Road he stole a wallet, at Superdrug he stole make-up and at Superdry he stole clothes worth £250.
Haines, of no fixed address, appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court last month.
Prosecutors said the spate of offences ranged from February until May
Magistrates were told that Haines’ previous offences aggravated his crimes. They jailed him for a total of six months for all of the crimes, with a £115 surcharge.
