A TALENTED teenager won a £1,000 prize for her expert dressmaking skills.
Jasmine Williams, from East Grinstead, won the Young Artisan of the Year prize at the South of England Agricultural Society.
The 17-year-old Sackville School student designed and made a “breathtaking” tutu.
She said: “I am absolutely thrilled. The tutu was designed for The Lilac Fairy from the Sleeping Beauty Ballet.
“I hope to go to London to study stage costume design and winning this competition will be a huge boost to my portfolio and really help with my college application.”
Jasmine, pictured, was presented with the gold award by society president Sir Richard Kleinwort.
Society spokesman Sue Ng said: “All our judges agreed that her tutu creation was absolutely stunning.”
