A RESTAURANT owned by MasterChef winner Kenny Tutt has hosted a popular TV dating show.

Kenny, last year’s champion on the hit BBC cooking challenge, opened Pitch in Warwick Street, Worthing, last month.

And despite still being in its infancy, the venue is now set to appear on national television.

Last week Channel 4 camera crews arrived at Pitch to film an episode of its popular Celebs Go Dating.

In the show, different celebrities are paired up with a member of the general public for an evening of food and conversation.

The famous face in the Pitch episode, which is due to air in August, is Lady Colin Campbell.

The socialite and TV personality lives in nearby Castle Goring.

She was filmed on her date while the restaurant was filled with other guests who had been picked by Kenny and his wife Lucy.

Fellow Sussex celebrity Katie Price was also due to appear but her scenes have been scrapped by the producers. The former glamour model, 41, who lives at Dial Post, was filmed with her boyfriend Kris Boyson, 30, taking part in couples’ therapy.

However the scenes will now no longer appear due to Katie being contracted to another television programme.

Appearing on Celebs Go Dating would have apparently put her in breach of her current contract.

A spokesman for the show said the scenes were filmed but had to be cut.

Pitch opened in May and is the first restaurant opened by MasterChef champion Kenny.
