A PUB game is being used to help feed the homeless.

People are going crazy for the new Wetherspoons game which allows them to have drinks sent to them from people around the world.

The nationwide pub chain has three locations in Brighton, including North Street and West Street and George Street, Hove, plus others across the county.

Now punters don’t even need to go to the bar to order their drinks – instead they can use the Wetherspoons mobile app to make their purchases. The idea is simple – you put in the name of the Wetherspoons you are in and your table number, then place your order.

Now this method of ordering has turned into a game.

People across the country are taking to social media sites such as Twitter, saying which pub they are in and their table number and then asking people to send them drinks or food.

The game has been utilised to great effect by pubgoers.

Now one group is using the it to help feed the homeless with it.

Chris Illman, of the Wetherspoons Game Facebook page, has started travelling across the country and asking people to send him food in Wetherspoons, which is then promptly delivered to the homeless.

He said: “We have had some groups sent nearly £200 of food and drinks from complete strangers.

“Once a month we pick a city to go and feed the homeless using the game.

“At the last feed we were sent a staggering £730 worth of food, snacks and drinks including an amazing 103 pizzas.

“Brighton is going to be the next city we visit.”

Details for the Brighton date of the Wetherspoons Game will be announced shortly.
