On this day ten years ago The Argus went to visit a Hove business which continued to thrive during the recession. We met the man hoping to be the oldest person to do the London to Brighton bike ride and caught up with Arthur Brown at a special awards night.

Keith Stevens, 80, from Newhaven, took part in the London to Brighton bike ride and raised £400 for the British Heart Foundation
And finally here is Bishopstone Pond Bishopstone, near Seaford. Contractors have cut down trees, letting them fall into the pond upsetting the wildlife
