A CRASH has blocked the B2123 causing heavy traffic.
The incident happened at about 12.30pm near Rottingdean Pond.
An AA spokesman said: "The road is partially blocked and there is heavy traffic due to an accident on the B2123 Falmer Road both ways at Brownleaf Road."
The crash is also affecting bus services running through the area.
At 12.45pm a Brighton and Hove Buses spokesman said: "Due to an accident by Rottingdean pond, our BH2 services are unable to get through and currently diverted via Ovingdean in both directions.
"One of our buses is stuck in Rottingdean."
At about 1.20pm the spokesman provided an update and said: "Our BH2 services towards Brighton have resumed normal route through Rottingdean.
"Services towards Rottingdean remain on diversion via Ovingdean."

The roads were fully cleared at about 3pm.
