A LATE arrival on Love Island could threaten Amy Hart’s relationship.

A new islander is expected to join the show in the next few days, one who apparently has his eyes set on Worthing girl Amy.

It is believed that Dan Rose, a builder from Coventry, will be the first “hunk” in Casa Amor, a second villa in the ITV dating show.

And he may be planning to split up Amy and her partner Curtis Pritchard.

Dan, 23, who balances construction work with jobs as a part-time model, is being lined up to mix things up.

A source anonymously told the Daily Mirror: “Dan is ruthless and will shake things up massively.

“Dan’s got great banter and cracks a lot of jokes.

“He’s always confident especially around women.

“His usual type is blonde and slim and Amy fits the bill perfectly. His arrival is going to cause major destruction in the villa – especially with Curtis.

“Who knows if Amy’s head will be turned?”

Amy and Curtis have been a couple since the start of the show and were the bookies’ favourites to win the reality series, though they have now slipped to second place.

However it is believed producers are looking to add more tension among the couples.

Speaking on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, show host Caroline Flack said: “[This] week is gonna be drama week.

“Drama for me is just the testing of the relationship, so it is good to see.

“That’s the whole point is just testing the relationships.

“So when I say drama I don’t mean screaming and shouting and arguing and that kind of stuff, it’s the decisions they have to make, I like all that.”

Amy, who lives with her family in Worthing, has made national headlines for various reasons since she was confirmed to be appearing on the show.

This week her father Ian, a funeral director in the town, hit back at claims his daughter lied about never having had a boyfriend.

A national newspaper quoted a source claiming to be a friend of the Hart family, from Worthing.

The mystery person claimed air hostess Amy was lying when she told other contestants she had never had a boyfriend.

The source claimed Amy, 26, had actually had four long-term boyfriends.

But Ian hit back saying: “It’s sad that people feel the need to contact tabloid papers with lies about Amy.

“Thankfully reporters check facts and realise it’s all rubbish and a phrase that springs to mind is ‘it is what it is’.”
