A BUS company will provide free travel to military personnel on Armed Forces day.
Stagecoach South will give the privilege to passengers with a military ID card or wearing a veteran’s badge on Saturday
Managing director Edward Hodgson said: “Once again, we are proud to be supporting Armed Forces Day.
“Through our support we hope we can send a clear message to our Armed Forces communities in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire that we appreciate and recognise the commitment they have made to our country over the years.”
The Stagecoach Group has also signed the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in support of the Armed Forces Community.
Armed Forces Day is described as “a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community”.
Celebrations began on Monday, with many companies and buildings displaying an Armed Forces Day flag to show their support for the services.
