Inglorious

Concorde 2, Brighton, Friday, November 1

A FORMER reality TV singing star is bringing his hard hitting rock band to the seaside in the autumn.

Nathan James first started turning heads in 2012 when he appeared on ITV show Superstar – the show that was set up to find the man to play Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

He made headlines when he was axed from the show by Webber, despite fans thinking he was good enough to stay on.

The singer did not let it get to him though and in 2014 formed the rock band Inglorious, who will perform at Brighton’s Concorde 2 on Friday, November 1.

Nathan had previously sung with American band Trans-Siberian

Orchestra alongside former Scorpions guitarist Uli John Roth.

Inglorious are a modern band for anyone who likes the hard rock sound of the Nineties, taking influence from bands with similar styles. Their first two albums, Inglorious and Inglorious II, earned them air time on rock specific radio stations, most notably Planet Rock.

The band have just released their third album, Ride To Nowhere, which has been performing well in the rock charts.

Prior to the album’s release the band had undergone something of a makeover, with three of the five original members leaving and only Nathan and drummer Phil Beaver remained.

The line-up is now back up to five, with the introduction of Dan Stevens and Danny Dela Cruz on

guitar and Vinne Colla on bass.

Their most recent single I Don’t Know You harks to bands such as Shinedown, Black Stone Cherry and The Darkness and will most likely bring plenty of headbanging to the Concorde come November.

Tickets to see Inglorious go on sale on Friday at

9am.
