A RAGING teenager grabbed his former girlfriend by the hair and spat in her face before headbutting a car.

Luke Pfundstein had caught up with the young woman at St Leonards Warrior Square railway station after a night out.

The 19-year-old admitted the attack, during which he spat at her three times and grabbed her by the hair.

Witnesses saw fish and chip shop manager Pfundstein punching himself before headbutting a BMW parked nearby.

At Brighton Magistrates’ Court he was sentenced for assault and for causing criminal damage.

Martina Sherlock, prosecuting, said the incident happened on June 18 at 5.30am.

She said: “The woman ended the relationship due to his abusive behaviour.

“They argued, he grabbed her by the hair and spat at her three times before storming off, punching himself and headbutting a BMW.”

Maggie Biglou, defending, said Pfundstein, of Chapel Park Road, St Leonards, regretted his “disgusting” behaviour.

Magistrate Barbara Dart ordered him to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, with £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £85 surcharge. He was put under a restraining order.
