ARMED police were seen surrounding a house in a quiet residential street in the early hours.
Officers stood behind their cars and aimed guns at the property.
One officer with a dog unit was also called to the scene.
The incident happened at about 1.30am today.
A witness said it “looked like a stand off” as “five or six police cars” pulled up at the house in Maybridge Crescent, Worthing.
Officers blocked the road as the incident was ongoing.
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
