A WOMAN has come forward after an alleged racial abuse incident.

Yesterday Sussex Police released an image of a woman who was walking her Chihuahua in a park in a bid to identify her.

It was reported that the woman's Chihuahua walked up to another dog walker in the park.

But the Chihuahua's owner then came up to her own dog and kicked it hard across the grass several times.

When the other dog owner protested against this cruelty, it is alleged that the woman racially abused her.

Following the appeal a woman has contacted police in connection with the incident.

Sergeant Matt Chapman said: "A woman has come forward and made contact with us and we will be speaking to her about the alleged incident in due course."
