On this day ten years ago The Argus went to the opening of a garden which was open to the public and visited Uckfield for the annual festival in which hundreds took to the streets to celebrate their town
Here are pictures from the Uckfield Festival’s tenth anniversary procession makes its way down the high street
Youngsters enjoy dressing up and making floats and banners for the festival
The streets of Uckfield are packed throughout the day
Hundreds of people of all ages join in the annual Uckfield Festival
We also meet John Williams, right, and Steve Bustin, open their garden at Belton Close, Brighton, as part of the National Garden Scheme
The pair take a lot of pride in making sure their garden looks just right
They have a wide variety of plants to check out
