A WOMAN who came forward after reports of racial abuse and cruelty to a dog has been told she will face no further action.

On Monday Sussex Police released an image of a woman who was walking her Chihuahua in a park in a bid to identify her.

It was reported that the woman's Chihuahua walked up to another dog walker in the park.

But the Chihuahua's owner then came up to her own dog and kicked it hard across the grass several times.

When the other dog owner protested against this cruelty, it is alleged that the woman racially abused her.

Following the appeal a woman contacted police on Tuesday in connection with the incident.

She was interviewed by police who told her there was insufficient evidence to progress an investigation following the report from Tilgate Park, Crawley.

So she has been told she will face no further action.
