IF THE Tour De France being on TV has got you dreaming of all things French then why not head to Horsham on Sunday.

Horsham Frenchfest has music, market stalls and even a guillotine to keep you entertained.

To coincide with Bastille day, there will be French cars, cheeses, freshly baked bread, patisserie, olives and dried fruits. a selection of clothes, handbags, jewellery, Provençal soaps and musicians celebrating the classic chansons, remembering the likes of Edith Piaf. Full of Gallic charm, you won’t regret a thing if you go.

Sussex Gin Festival

Borde Hill Garden Haywards Heath, today

It is the festival’s second year in business, having successfully debuted in Brighton last year.

The event will feature bars from local distilleries, including Brighton Gin, Tom Cat, Jarrold’s Gin, Harley House and Blue Thorn, as well as locally based official mixer partner Folkington’s, showcasing everything there is to know about Sussex gin, from production and tasting methods to fabulous cocktails and refreshing coolers.

For beer lovers, Harvey’s Brewery will be serving local beers and there will be Sussex fizz for those who love bubbles. There will even be a gin and tonic sorbet to cool you down.

The Water Lily Festival

Sheffield Park, Haywards Heath, today and tomorrow

If you love nature then this is a great way to spend the day with the family.

Sunday sees Sheffield Park celebrate the final day of its Water Lily Festival and if you haven’t been down in the last week then make sure you go tomorrow.

The event sees the park celebrate its magnificent Water Lily display by putting them on show for visitors to see.

A pontoon has even been added to Middle Lake so that you can get even closer to the beautiful flowers.

You can go on a guided tour around the Pulham Falls and there are even workshops on how to perfectly photograph the flowers on display.

You can also see the installation of the giant lily pads and flowers created by award-winning community art charity, Same Sky.
