A CHIPPY has issued an apology after customers lodged a series of complaints over the quality of its food.
One woman took to social media to say her takeaway had included a mouldy burger bun and “undercooked and white chips”.
Jamie Shelley, owner of Gull’s Fish Bar in Barcombe Road, Brighton, said: “Due to a busy few months, I have not been able to be in the shop to oversee the quality of work distributed by my staff.
“At Gull’s Fish Bar we strive to consistently provide high quality food, alongside good customer service. However, it has come to our attention, that this week we failed to meet this standard.
“I am truly sorry that a small amount customers have been far from satisfied with the standards of our food, we can assure you this will not happen again. We would like to thank all our customers for supporting our local shop and hope this will continue in the future.”
