A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was found unconcious.
The man, believed to be between 30 and 40-years-old, was riding his bike down Little East Street in Lewes this evening when he fell off and hit his head.
He was found unconcious and has been taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital where he is being treated for a suspected head injury.
A South East Coast Ambulance service spokesman said: "The air ambulance was called to assist but when it was near landing, ambulance crews at the scene said it was no longer required.
"It was stood down, so shortly after landing it took off again.
"Two ambulances and two cars assisted with the incident and the man has been taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital to be treated for his injuries."
