A WOMAN found dead at the weekend has been named as Kayleigh Hanks.
At 12.35am on Sunday, police were called to a disturbance at the a flat in London Road, Bexhill. Kayleigh was found dead and a man arrested at the scene.
A post mortem has shown Kayleigh was strangled to death.
Sussex Police said: "Ian Paton, 36, a sales representative, of Snowdrop Rise, St Leonards, is appearing in custody at Brighton Magistrates' Court , charged with the murder of Kayleigh Hanks, 29, of London Road, Bexhill.
"Both people were known to each other.
"A postmortem was carried out on Monday (22 July) and found the cause of death to be strangulation.
"Her family have released a photo of Kayleigh in her memory."
Officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are asking anyone who has information that could assist their investigation to contact them online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Elwood.
