A THUG who attacked police officers while in hospital has been jailed and told to pay compensation.
Ryan Breach attacked PC Samuel Bettles in the accident and emergency department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
The 30-year-old also attacked PC Chelsie Maskell and PC James Roberts in police custody.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court he admitted the three attacks, along with criminal damage to a man’s car, and possession of a knuckle duster.
The offences put him in breach of a suspended sentence for using threatening or abusive behaviour.
Breach, of Brighton Road, Shoreham, was jailed for 45 weeks by magistrate Alan Hardy last month because of his previous convictions and his behaviour towards the officers.
He was also ordered to pay a total of £300 compensation for the damage caused to a Mini. Breach must also pay £100 each to the PCs.
