The scene of crashes on the A27 near the Southwick tunnel
EMERGENCY services have been called to a “multiple vehicle” crash on the A27.
Pictures from a witness passing in the opposite direction appear to show crashes on the eastbound carriageway at Southwick.
The fire brigade and ambulance crews are in attendance at the scene, but it is not yet known if anyone has been hurt in the crash.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays, as traffic is already heavy during morning rush hour. A witness said queues already stretch back for a mile.
