HOMES have lost their water supply after a pipe was damaged.
The water main burst near the Lewes Road junction with Highbrook Close in Brighton, affecting homes in the area.
Pictures show a huge water spout has erupted out of the ground.
A spokesman for Southern Water said the pipe had been damaged by a "third party".
He said: "We're aware of a burst to one of our water mains in Lewes Road/Highbrook Close in Brighton.
"We're working as quickly and as safely as possible to resolve the issue and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
