BUSINESSES are celebrating the boost that Pride weekend has given them.
Across Brighton, shops, pubs and bars are winding down from the bumper weekend.
Thousands of locals and tourists flocked to the seaside to watch the parade, see Kylie, and enjoy the street parties.
In St James’s Street, where the Pride Village Party took over the road for two days, companies are celebrating the influx of customers that the weekend brought.
Mike Gallagher, co-owner of Affinity Bar, said: “As an LGBT bar we love to be part of the community and the celebrations
“We had a fabulous time opening the venue for our clients and friends – it’s part of what being in Brighton is.
“Pride is about having a good time and celebrating where we’ve come from.
“We work very closely with other bars on the street to make sure the party is a success for everyone.
“It shows what the key values of the city are.
“It’s over the weekend and it may cause disruption to some businesses but what it brings to the city is something worth more than those two days.”
