MORE than 1,000 jobs are at risk after two clothing chains were acquired by an online retailer.
Internet shop Boohoo bought high-end fashion businesses Karen Millen and Coast, putting 1,100 jobs at risk across the country.
Karen Millen has a shop in Nile Street, Brighton, while Coast has a store in East Street.
An outlet also exists in the Debenhams store in Churchill Square shopping centre.
All shops will continue to trade for a short time as the companies go through the administration process.
