A SEAFRONT toilet has been closed after the ceiling collapsed.
Holidaymakers continue to flock to the coast for summer.
But bursting beachgoers could be in trouble as The Colonnade toilets in Madeira Drive are currently closed.
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokeswoman said: "The ceiling in these toilets has collapsed and we have had to shut the building.
"A surveyor will be inspecting them on Friday morning and after that we should have a better idea of the extent of the damage.
"The nearest toilets are at the Peter Pan Play Area or on the Lower Prom, east of Brighton Palace Pier."
This follows Pride weekend in which more than 300,000 revellers swarmed to the city.
The Western Esplanade toilets on Hove seafront were also closed yesterday but were reopened this morning.
On Saturday July 6 the toilets on the Lower Promenade to the east of Palace Pier were closed during one of the busiest weekends of the summer as a heatwave hit Sussex.
At the time a council spokesman said: “We’re having some problems with our toilets on the Lower Prom, east of Brighton Pier.
“They may be shut for a time while we and Southern Water investigate.”
The toilets reopened at about midday on the following Monday.
