SO, SOME residents in Peacehaven are bleating about new housing developments there. In the first instance, Peacehaven itself has always been an ongoing development, providing housing for thousands, over the decades.

Indeed, those residents who voted Tory, at the 2017 General Election, have absolutely no right to complain.

For it is a fact that, in their 2017 manifesto, they promised to build “a million new homes by 2020”.

The fact that this is being dumped on your doorstep amuses me no end.

That you people, quite rightly, cite traffic problems as a factor in your chagrin, is of no consequence to your government.

After all, the people who live on the routes of HS2 and: the third runway at Heathrow didn’t ask for it, but they got it whether they like it or not.

And, what of the people who are about to see their land go under the drill both up north and down south?

Because, it is a fact that, what our third unelected Prime Minister in nine years, Boris Johnson, refers to as “The Northern Powerhouse “ he is referring to fracking.

And, since the result of the EU referendum result was announced, the rigs are going up in Lancashire; all three Ridings of Yorkshire; Nottinghamshire; Linconshire and Derbyshire.

Yes, that dam really needs earthquakes in the local area, doesn’t it?

Yet, in all of those cases, the locals said no, but they have got to have it, whether they like it or not.

Indeed, licences to frack both the Peak District National Park and within Sherwood Forest should end any speculation as to the Government’s strategy, in regard to all National Parks.

Still, as the political map of Sussex is almost entirely blue, we have to assume you are in favour of this stupidity.

And, as 85 per cent of this county sits on fossil fuels, they will come for it.

You won’t like it, but you’re getting it whether you like it or not.

Still, you can’t blame this one on the EU; immigrants or Islam. No, you people voted for it, so suffer it or do something about it.

After all, you voted this government in, you kick them out.
