A HIGH end national chain is coming to the seaside.
Bistrot Pierre will be opening at the Wish Tower, in King Edward’s Parade, Eastbourne, in November.
The restaurant chain, which focuses on classic French cuisine, already has 28 other locations across the country but this will be its first in Sussex.
Restaurant founder Robert Beacham visited the site of his newest restaurant to see how it was coming along.
He was joined by Eastbourne Borough Council leader David Tutt and Christina Ewbank, chief executive of Eastbourne and District Chamber.
Robert was full of praise for his newest site, which has panoramic views of the English Channel and the town’s promenade.
He said: “It’s incredibly exciting to see the exterior of the restaurant nearing completion and ready for the internal fit-out to begin.
“On a beautiful sunny day the view is simply breathtaking.”
Cllr Tutt said: “There is no doubt that this restaurant will become a seafront favourite for people from far and wide.
“The design is so eye catching and in harmony with its wonderful position overlooking the sea, downland and east to the pier and beyond.”
