TWO people have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a boy was found camping on Brighton beach.
The boy, 9, was spotted walking along the seafront in high winds of about 50mph in the early hours of this morning.
A passerby said he saw the child walking with two "intoxicated men" on the beach.
Another witness said they saw the nine-year-old "picking up needles" from the street for a woman he was with.
Brighton Beach Patrol and Sussex Police were involved in bringing the child to safety at about 2am this morning.
A police spokesman said: "The investigation is ongoing, and for this reason we would urge members of the public not to speculate around the circumstances."
The child is in police protection.
Louise from Brighton Beach Patrol said: "I can confirm the beach Patrol Located the child at 2am."
