BRIGHTON Racecourse was awash with vivid colours and elegant outfits on Thursday for its annual Ladies Day.
More than 80 women entered the best dressed competition. Joy Fairchild, a Brighton Races regular who enters every year, finished second.
Jo Pugh, marketing manager at the course, said: “It’s great to have such a diverse range of ladies enter and it’s a true reflection of Brighton.”
The day featured a Silk Series lady rider race, in which only female jockeys take part. That was won by Megan Nicholls.
Plenty of entertainment was provided in addition to the racing, including a vintage photo booth and a performance from Fully Funktional.
