A DRIVER has warned others of lampposts "wobbling dangerously" on the side of the road.

Tim Barns, 48, was driving along Worthing seafront when he felt uneasy seeing the lampposts moving in the wind.

"I know it's windy and there are trees falling down, but these lampposts were really wobbling, wobbling dangerously," he said.

"It really looks as though they are just going to crash onto cars driving past so I wanted to warn drivers.

"You would have thought they would be made in a way to resist high wind, it's not like we haven't had this weather before.

"There are lots of warnings about the weather, but falling over lampposts might not be what people first think of so I think it's important to just make sure people are aware.

"Especially drivers."
