A COMPANY is celebrating its 90th year in business.
Mid Sussex Timber (MST), which was founded in East Grinstead but now has stores in Haywards Heath, Forest Row and Crowborough, has been running for nine decades.
Since 1929 the company has been supplying timber to building and retail markets across the county and beyond and is the largest stockist of timber in Sussex.
To celebrate this impressive milestone, the team at MST held an evening of racing at Lingfield Park Racecourse attended by about 80 people.
Alex Waters, operations director of MST, said: “Ninety years is a landmark anniversary for any company, but for a small independent business such as ourselves, it is even more ground breaking.
“A celebration like this gives us a valuable opportunity to reward all our staff who worked so hard to get Mid Sussex Timber to where it is today.
“While celebrations may have now come to a close, ongoing success is due to continue with many more prosperous years ahead.”
