A LIFEBOAT station is now an official tourist attraction.
After being named TripAdvisor’s top attraction in Shoreham, the town’s RNLI Lifeboat Station has been accredited as an official Visit England attraction.
After going through a rigorous assessment process, the station can display the coveted rose sticker.
The lifeboat station on Kingston Beach, Brighton Road, is open weekdays from 10am until 2pm and weekends from 10am until 4pm.
Visitors can find out about the station’s two lifeboats and take a guided tour.
Volunteers are on hand with information about the history of the station, and there’s a chance for children to try on mini crew kit and learn more about staying safe by the sea in the interactive children’s corner.
