THE A27 has reopened after a crash.
Traffic was queuing up to 40 minutes near Emsworth due to the closure.
Traffic was diverted via the A259 and there was long delays.
The air ambulance is understood to have been called to the scene.
Chichester Police said the accident was caused due to a "mechanical failure".
