A RAPE suspect is being hunted by police.

Daryl Beckingham is already wanted by police for recall to prison after he was released on licence in Sussex in March.

The 25-year-old was part-way through a sentence for inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He had been jailed at Lewes Crown Court in July 2014.

But he has breached his release conditions, and the Probation Service require him to return to prison.

Now detectives investigating a rape want to speak with Beckingham about the incident in Rye.

They believe Beckingham could be in Hastings or St Leonards, or elsewhere in East Sussex.

He also may have links to Coventry.

Beckingham is slim, white, 5ft 8ins, with auburn hair and green eyes.

The alleged rape happened in Rye on March 17, where a 21-year-old woman has come forward.

Anyone who sees Beckingham or in the West Midlands, is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, or 999, quoting serial 632 of 21/03 or 384 of 17/03.
