A RESEARCH scientist used his computer skills to hack intimate pictures from Facebook accounts and film young women as they undressed.

Kieran Kennedy of Montpelier Place, Brighton, works as a graduate researcher.

At Worthing Magistrates Court on Tuesday, he admitted downloading personal images after hacking the facebook accounts of three young women.

He used a hidden camera to film young women undressing after luring them into his room, a court heard.

The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to voyeurism and computer misuse at Worthing Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor Francesca Baynham told the court Kennedy had caused a significant level of distress to his victims.

He told a friend he had the images after a night out, she said.

“He told his friend he had been able to access facebook accounts.

“He also had videos which he was able to obtain by engineering certain circumstances whereby they were getting changed in his bedroom.”

A significant degree of planning had gone into the offences, Ms Baynham said.

“He was able to secretly record the videos using an app on his phone,” she said.

Sentencing was adjourned for the probation service to prepare a pre sentence report.
