WHAT A magnificent and accurate letter from George Mower (The Argus, August 20).

He really hit the nail on the head. I would wager 90 per cent of the population would agree with him.

Perhaps Brighton should change its name to “Dodge City” and disinter Wyatt Earp.

This mayhem is down to an inadequate council, out-of-control youth due to lack of discipline in schools, magistrates too soft and totally out of touch with society and not enough police officers walking the streets.

What also puzzles me is that we are constantly told we do not have enough policemen/women, well that is until a Brighton home game or some group wanting to parade through the town then there are police everywhere.
