A MASSIVE search has been launched to find a pet dog that has gone missing.

Pebbles – who is 10 months old - is white and mixed-bred, but according to her owner Catherine Humphrey she looks just like a bichon frise.

She went missing from her home in Coleridge Crescent in Worthing at about 3pm yesterday.

The Argus:

Mrs Humphrey is offering a £500 reward for anyone who can find her.

“She was apparently then hit by a car, but not badly,” she said.

“Some workmen at the lights at Goring Bridge said they saw her running around in the field near the bridge.”

Pebbles ran out the gate at her home address with her mother and brother.

Mrs Humphrey thinks she got spooked and ran off, separating herself from her family.

“I just don’t know if someone has picked her up.

“It’s just odd that her brother and mother came back but not her.

“The workmen at the lights did say she looked spooked and just took off.”

Many have taken part in the mass search.

Mrs Humphrey said members of the community have been out in the night searching for Pebbles, including a gentleman with his drone.

Others are still marching through the field today where Pebbles was spotted in an attempt to find the spooked pooch.

Anyone who knows of her whereabouts call Mr and Mrs Humphreys on 07802 475505.
